About WASEC
The WA Social Enterprise Council (WASEC) is the peak body for social enterprises in Western Australia. We champion organisations that trade to create positive social and community outcomes - from emerging ventures to large employers operating across the state. Our mission is to grow, strengthen and amplify this movement so that social enterprise becomes a central part of WA's economic and community fabric.

* Delivering an exceptional member experience at every stage
* Designing engagement pathways that convert interest into long-term membership
* Using data and insights to continually improve retention and sector reach
This is a hands-on, senior role suited to someone who has significantly grown membership programs before - ideally within a peak body, fast growing startup, or high-growth NFP.

* Build and maintain a qualified pipeline of potential members through proactive outreach, events, and partnerships
* Develop pitches, proposals, presentations and tailored membership offers to convert leads
* Represent WASEC at sector events, networking opportunities, and stakeholder meetings
Member Experience & Retention
* Own the member lifecycle - from first contact to renewal - ensuring a seamless, professional experience
* Implement structured onboarding, engagement programs, and renewal processes
* Work with the PR & Comms team to spotlight members and amplify their stories across media and events
* Conduct regular feedback and satisfaction checks, identifying needs and opportunities for service improvement
Systems, Data & Reporting
* Oversee CRM performance, data quality and reporting dashboards
* Own membership revenue forecasting, churn metrics, engagement scores and conversion funnel tracking
* Provide clear insights to guide decision-making and refine sales strategies
Programs & Partnerships
* Collaborate with the CEO to shape a compelling annual member engagement program including events and professional learning
* Support the delivery of WASEC's major events (e.g. Social Enterprise Awards, Social Enterprise Day)
* Identify and develop strategic partnerships that support membership growth and value
What Success Looks Like
* Sustained growth in paid, active members, including operating social enterprises and organisations that support the sector - across community, philanthropy, corporate, academic and government partners.
* A strong, well-managed membership pipeline, with consistent conversion from enquiry to paid membership.
* Greater diversity and representation across the membership base, particularly regional and First Nations-led enterprises, and businesses at all stages - from early-stage to established.
* WASEC recognised as the essential partner for social enterprise in Western Australia.
What You Bring
* 5+ years' experience in membership growth, business development, commercial partnerships or community expansion roles
* Proven track record hitting and exceeding revenue and membership targets
* Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills
* Strong commercial acumen - understands sales pipelines, forecasting, and value propositions
* CRM optimisation superpowers (HubSpot, Salesforce, etc)
* Confident presenting to diverse audiences e.g. founders, CEOs, government, investors
* Highly organised with a bias for action in a fast-paced startup environment
* Passionate about community-driven economic and social outcomes in WA
Desirable
* Experience in a peak body, social enterprise, impact or innovation sector
* Strong understanding of WA's business, social impact and community development ecosystem
