We are looking for a Finance Analyst who will report to our Head of Commercial Finance and work as part of the Tes Group Commercial Finance team. The role takes responsibility for the reporting of financial information and provision of insightful analysis to support business decision making by stakeholders across the wider Tes Australia business.
In addition, the role will provide support on financial aspects of a wide range of initiatives including but not limited to, budgeting and forecasting, product roadmap development, data quality, business practice and process improvements and global alignment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Partner with business leads to provide insightful advice and analysis to support business decision making.
* Monthly revenue and SaaS metric reporting and analysis.
* Present monthly results to stakeholders, providing explanations of variances vs. budget and promoting insightful discussion on financial performance.
* Weekly sales reporting and forecasting.
* Processing and administration of sales commission scheme.
* Support stakeholders through the business planning cycle in order to establish operational plans and budget inputs.
* Support product roadmap development and challenge prioritisation.
* Work closely with Data & Analytics team to drive work on accuracy and efficiency of accounting records, reporting and analysis.
* Understand and challenge current business practice, identifying and implementing initiatives to improve processes and deliver efficiencies, ensuring global alignment.
* Provide support to the wider Tes Group Commercial Finance team as required.
What will you need to succeed?
* Ability to think both analytically and strategically - to go beyond the numbers and to think logically about underlying business issues
* Strong commercial awareness combined with robust numerical and analytical skills
* Good general understanding of accounting and financial control
* Proactive, ability to use initiative, anticipate issues and develop practical solutions in a collaborative manner
* Articulate with good verbal and written communication skills
* Be committed and flexible in your approach to work
* Ability to work under pressure, multi-task and prioritise work while meeting tight deadlines
* Be passionate about providing support to the business; drive and enthusiasm to use reporting to identify and deliver financial or operational improvements
* Advanced Excel skills
* Qualified Accountant
* Experience of working with and analysing large data sets

This role is based working from our Hawthorne office. It's a hybrid position - working 3 days from the office and 2 days from home.
