We are currently seeking a Legal Counsel or Senior Legal Counsel to join our team and support the business across a broad range of corporate, commercial, and project-related legal matters.
Working closely with our Chief Legal Officer, this role offers the opportunity to be involved in meaningful, commercially focused work within a growing ASX-listed organisation progressing towards production.
About the role
This is a diverse in-house role with exposure across corporate, commercial, governance, financing, procurement, and project activities.
You will work closely with stakeholders across the business to provide practical, solutions-focused legal support and help manage legal risk in a pragmatic and commercial way.
The role would suit someone who enjoys variety, values strong working relationships, and is comfortable operating in a dynamic environment where priorities can shift.
What you will be doing
* Review, draft, and negotiate a range of commercial agreements and terms and conditions
* Provide advice on ASX Listing Rules, Corporations Act requirements, and governance matters
* Develop and maintain legal templates and supporting documentation
* Support project and procurement activities, including contract review and tender clarifications
* Assist with financing and corporate transaction activities as required
* Prepare and review departure schedules and contractual qualifications
* Support the ongoing review and improvement of corporate governance policies
* Assist with disputes and litigation matters, including management of external legal advisers
* Provide pragmatic legal advice across a range of business activities and projects
What you will bring
* 6-12+ years' post-admission experience in corporate and commercial law
* Experience gained within a leading law firm and/or in-house environment
* Strong drafting, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
* A commercial and pragmatic approach to legal advice
* Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective working relationships across the business
* The ability to manage competing priorities and work autonomously
Nice to have
* Experience working with ASX-listed entities
* Exposure to mining, resources, construction, or project-related matters
* Experience supporting financing or procurement activities
* Broad exposure across corporate, commercial, governance, and project work
