Company Overview:
Our valued rail services client is one of the leading Australian suppliers of rail vehicles & maintenance services.
Role: Certified Electrician, Electrical OR Mechanical Fitter to join their team on a rotating Day & Afternoon shift basis, based at the Canberra, ACT light rail maintenance depot.
Responsibilities:
* Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on rolling stock according to production plans and policies.
* Test, diagnose, and repair electronic, mechanical, and electrical components, including HVAC systems, using schematics.
* Inspect bodywork, roofs, and undercarriages for wear or damage.
* Warranty work, repair, or replacement of components and parts.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Australian Trade Diploma in Electrotechnology or Mechanical Fitting; Certification III required. Electrical License or dual electrical/mechanical trade highly desirable.
* Experience in Rail, Rolling Stock, Light Rail, Bus, Automotive, Earth Moving, or Heavy Diesel Fitting.
* Experience with bus vehicles, freight maintenance, or service activities is desirable.
* Strong PLC fault finding, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and rectification skills.
* Ability to read technical drawings and maintain detailed records.

* Pass a pre-employment medical.
* Australian full-time working rights.
* Compliance with public health orders.
