We currently have a great opportunity for an ambitious professional with a passion for Tax to join our growing Taxation Consulting team, working collaboratively to provide effective solutions and expertise to our clients. This role is a full time position but we are open to exploring part time arrangements

About the role
With direct mentorship and daily contact with the Partners, the successful candidate will assist the team to deliver tax advisory services to a diverse range of client base. This will include research, analysis, and providing verbal and written advice to clients in relation to a wide range of Australian taxation matters and various other client issues. Areas of tax advice may include CGT (including small business concessions), Division 7A & UPEs, R&D, indirect taxes, transfer pricing, structuring and restructuring, tax planning and tax risk management, corporate acquisitions, international tax and more.
Working within a highly technical team with a supportive team culture, this role provides a strong focus on tax advisory and consulting projects rather than tax compliance functions.
The successful candidate will possess:
* Bachelor Degree in relevant discipline
* Minimum 4 years' Australian tax experience, preferably including prior tax advisory experience;
* Technically proficient in a range of tax issues and up to date with Australian taxation law and industry developments;
* Excellent research, analysis and professional writing skills;
* Present professionally, and possess strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills;
* Strong problem-solving, commercial nous and strategic thinking;
* Strong attention to detail and time management, with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines; and
* Experience liaising with the ATO and other industry regulators on behalf of clients in relation to complex and negotiable matters;
* Experience with transfer pricing and/or R&D advantageous.
