Overview
Director, IT Strategy & Architecture at the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) / Australian Energy Regulator (AER). The role sits in the Information Management and Technology Services (IMTS) Branch and provides strategic and delivery leadership across the department's IT environment, including Microsoft cloud technologies and on‐premises systems.
Responsibilities
* Lead a team of professionals, role‐model leadership behaviours, support a collaborative working environment, coach, provide continuous feedback, resolve conflicts and facilitate career development.
* Lead and mentor a team to develop and sustain ACCC's architecture and infrastructure ecosystem.
* Define current state, transition states and target state architectures for projects and problems aligned with organisational strategy.
* Provide design leadership across business, data, application and technology domains; design for reuse; ensure designs are implementable within risk parameters; ensure security compliance; prepare design options where multiple solutions exist; guide uplift of the current environment.
* Provide overall technical leadership to project teams for end‐to‐end solutions with integrated designs and technologies.
* Actively engage with project teams to ensure compliance with architecture.
What you will need

This role in particular requires:
* Extensive technology leadership experience with at least 5 years designing, building and deploying enterprise solutions in complex cloud and on‐premise environments.
* Experience in leading high‐performing teams and inspiring others through effective interpersonal relationships.
* Experience delivering significant organisational change requiring initiative and managing uncertainty.
* Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external customers and stakeholders at all levels.
* Experience in designing, deploying and managing cloud solutions, with familiarity in Azure and other Microsoft cloud offerings.
* Clear, concise and articulate communication skills with the ability to influence, persuade and negotiate.
* High initiative, problem‐solving ability, resilience, self‐awareness and commitment to personal development.
* Relevant industry certifications.
Desirable
* Experience in highly regulated sectors and Government environments.

Salary: $148,287 – $173,778 (plus 15.4% superannuation)
