The Role
The Senior Finance Manager is responsible for the financial, tax and management reporting for for a portfolio of Real Estate Funds, including the Group's flagship Office Fund. The role has a strong focus on managing and developing a high performing team and partnering with the Fund Analyst/Fund Management teams.
Key Responsibilities
Your duties and responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:
* Lead the preparation and review of statutory financial statements for the flagship wholesale Office Fund.
* Drive management reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, and fund unit pricing, delivering insights that matter
* Prepare and review Board and Audit & Risk Committee (ARCC) reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
* Partner with the business on major property and trust acquisitions and disposals.
* Prepare and review investor reporting and respond to regular ad hoc requests.
* Act as a trusted technical advisor on accounting and taxation matters.
* Supervise, develop, and mentor junior team members, supporting succession and retention.
The Successful Candidate
To be successful in the role, you'll have the following skills/experience:
* CA/CPA qualification
* Property (ideally) fund accounting, forecasting, budgeting and taxation experience.
* Knowledge of complex legal entity structures
* Strong understanding of Australian Tax & Accounting standards
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Excellent attention to detail
* Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
