Description
This is an exciting opportunity for a senior software developer to join a collaborative team on continuous improvement and personal growth. This position is great for a driven and self-motivated Full Stack Java Developer to support the dynamic Systems Engineering Group with building new applications from scratch and supporting modernization of existing applications. This is an excellent opportunity for an independent learner ready to tackle new challenges, expand their technical expertise, and contribute to impactful solutions for our internal clients. This contract position offers a competitive rate with high stability on the contract extension.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and develop new web applications using Java Spring boot and Angular and support existing applications
* Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, focusing on maintaining and enhancing existing custom applications.
* Lead and execute functional upgrades and technology uplift projects for critical business applications.
* Guide the team on best practices in modernizing legacy systems and implementing full-stack solutions.
* Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and provide user support.
* Prepare work estimates, test plans, deployment processes, and maintain clear documentation.
Qualifications
* Minimum eight years of experience developing, debugging, and deploying applications.
* Proven expertise in maintaining J2EE applications using Java, Spring, and Struts on WebSphere Application.
* Hands-on experience modernizing legacy systems to modern frameworks, such as Spring Boot and Angular 8+.
* Proven knowledge of Docker deployment.
* Ability to architect and build modern full-stack applications.
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to work directly with end-users and provide guidance to the development team.
