Keldan Group are looking for experienced and passionate Chefs and Cooks who have worked in fast paced pub/hotel hospitality environments to work in rural/remote areas of the Hunter Valley.
You will be working collaboratively with other chefs, cooks and kitchenhands to deliver high quality, good tasting meals to customers.
The Role:
* Prepare ingredients, cook and present food in accordance with menus and restaurant standards
* Responsible for restaurant and food production across all meal periods, functions and events
* Strong understanding of produce, stock control and kitchen equipment
* Assist with the preparation of menus, recipes and new initiatives
* Portioning and plating meals attractively with relevant sauces, garnishes and accompaniments
* Adding appropriate seasoning and flavours during the cooking process
* Clean and sanitise kitchen equipment and surfaces in accordance with health and safety and health department regulations
* Keep and order food, kitchen supplies and equipment as required
* Ensure the kitchen is always kept clean and tidy
Requirements:
* AQF Certificate III or equivalent qualification
* A minimum 3 years full-time work experience as a chef or cook
* Experience working collaboratively in a busy kitchen
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment without sacrificing food quality or presentation
* Be available to work any day over a 7-day roster period
* Strong communication skills and positive attitude
Pay & Conditions
* Salary between $70,000 - $80,000 + super based on experience
* Full-time employment with a minimum of 38 hours each week
