The position is full-time, on a continuing basis and based at the Townsville Bebegu Yumba campus, Douglas.
HEWL 8: $111,960 - $128,567 per annum plus up to 17% employer superannuation contributions.
What You Can Accomplish In The Role
The Strategic Asset Planner is responsible for the development and implementation of an optimised maintenance program and manages the University Strategic Asset Management Framework, asset life cycles and Estate Directorate maintenance strategy to mitigate risks and optimise performance. You'll ensure the standards of JCU's assets are maintained effectively as you manage the safety, financial, operational and reputational asset management risks incorporating WHS, Australian Standards and Statutory Compliance with stakeholders and leaders across the organisation.
What You Will Bring To The Role
Progressing towards a postgraduate qualification, you have extensive relevant experience in delivering strategic asset planning services in a large and complex organisational setting, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and standards. In this major facility leadership role, you're responsible for strategic planning across JCU's 1.3 billion estate portfolio encompassing buildings, complex research infrastructure and a diverse range of critical assets.
You bring highly effective communication skills with advanced technical asset management knowledge to inform and deliver comprehensive analysis, guidance and reports, ensuring stakeholders are well informed. A proven ability to identify opportunities for continuous improvement, strong leadership experience in managing multi-level stakeholders and high-level critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills will enable your success in this role.
