Immersive UX Design & Web Development Role
The Australian National University is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow/Research Fellow in User Experience Design and/or Web Development. This fixed-term appointment can be offered as one full-time role or two part-time appointments, commencing around November 2025.
Key Responsibilities
* We are looking for someone to design, develop, evaluate, and implement an innovative online interactive training course that supports the Volunteer Dementia and Delirium Care Program.
* As a high-calibre researcher, you will conduct and publish research ideally in applied or interdisciplinary contexts.
* You will also supervise student research projects, with responsibilities to be agreed upon with supervisors.
* Building and maintaining industry partnerships, contributing to a wider research community, and embedding innovative approaches in engineering, computing, and health are essential aspects of this role.
Requirements
* We require strong skills in data science, user experience design, and/or web development, with the ability to apply human-centred computing/engineering methods to digital health.
* Your experience in conducting and publishing high-quality research, ideally in applied or interdisciplinary contexts, will be invaluable.
* Capability and willingness to supervise student research projects, with responsibilities to be agreed upon with supervisors, are essential.
* You must have interest in building and maintaining industry partnerships and contributing to a wider research community, embedding innovative approaches in engineering, computing, and health.
About the Role
This transdisciplinary project combines the strengths of the ANU School of Medicine and Psychology and ANU School of Computing in health data sciences. The School of Medicine and Psychology provides professional education in psychology and medicine, and undergraduate education in psychology and health sciences, and conducts transdisciplinary research in healthcare practice and policy. The School of Computing has a strong foundation in computing and information sciences at ANU.
