A Professional is sought to lead our Finance team operations.
About the Role
This role plays a pivotal part in maintaining the financial integrity of Katherine Town Council. The incumbent will provide financial leadership, strategic insight, and robust governance to support our continued growth and impact.
The position reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer and is responsible for implementing and maintaining professional human resources systems, processes, advice, and guidance throughout Council.
This position ensures that human resources functions are delivered in a manner that complies with statutory obligations and Council policies and processes.
Key Responsibilities
1. Maintain payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable records
2. Work closely with the Strategic Finance Advisor to achieve Council's financial objectives
3. Provide expert financial advice to management and staff
