Senior Cloud Infrastructure Team Lead
A leading organization is seeking a highly skilled Compute - Infrastructure Operations SME to lead and oversee a team responsible for managing and optimizing mission-critical IT infrastructure. This role plays a central part in ensuring the availability, performance, and compliance.
Please note that NV1 Clearance is a mandatory requirement for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and mentor a team of Infrastructure Analysts and Coordinators to maintain consistent service delivery.
* Serve as the escalation point for advanced infrastructure issues, including incident resolution and change implementation.
* Oversee system availability and performance across test, pre-production, and production environments.
* Collaborate closely with security, application, and DevOps teams to build and maintain scalable infrastructure solutions.
* Provide expert-level guidance on automation, cloud strategies, and infrastructure optimization.
* Manage monitoring tools and processes to enable proactive detection and resolution of issues.
* Ensure adherence to ITIL-based processes for incident, problem, and change management.
* Lead stakeholder engagement to communicate infrastructure health, risks, and project updates.
* Oversee capacity management and cost control across both on-premise and cloud infrastructure.
* Participate in Change Advisory Board (CAB) reviews and provide on-call support as required.
* Drive automation using tools such as Terraform, PowerShell, Python, and shell scripting.

Required Skills & Experience:
* Minimum of 5 years' experience in Infrastructure Support, IT Operations, or a related field.
* Deep technical expertise in VMware, AWS, and Microsoft Azure.
* Strong scripting and automation proficiency (Terraform, Python, PowerShell, Bash).
* Experience with Windows Server and Linux OS administration (RHEL, CentOS, Debian).
* Familiarity with managing databases in infrastructure environments (Oracle, SQL).
* Hands-on experience with infrastructure monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk, Nagios, Prometheus).
* Solid understanding of ITIL frameworks; ITIL v4 certification is preferred.
* Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to manage teams and communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
