About the Role
Seeking an experienced Heavy Vehicle and Plant Tyre Fitter / All – Rounder to join the Total Plant Hire team. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys variety and is looking to broaden their skillset. The position involves working across both the workshop and yard, while also supporting mechanical operations in a all-rounder capacity.
This role would suit a Heavy Vehicle and Plant Tyre Fitter who is looking to branch out, develop additional skills, and take on more diverse responsibilities within a growing business.
Key Responsibilities
* Fitting and repairing passenger, light truck, and heavy vehicle tyres
* Stripping and fitting truck tyres (including 11R.25)
* Conducting tyre inspections and providing recommendations for replacements or repairs
* Washing and detailing light vehicles and earthmoving equipment
* Maintaining a clean and organised work environment
* Adhering to all safety protocols and procedures
* General yard duties and housekeeping
* Delivery driving (as required)
* Assisting tradespersons and mechanics with daily tasks (as required)
About You
* Certificate II in Automotive Tyre Servicing Technology (desirable)
* Proven experience in tyre fitting (heavy vehicles and equipment preferred)
* Strong attention to detail and ability to perform manual tasks
* Reliable, with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn
* Current driver’s licence (essential)
* HR Driver’s Licence (desirable)
* Fork Lift Ticket (desirable)
* Positive “can-do” attitude with a strong commitment to safety
* Ability to work independently, follow instructions, and contribute as part of a team

Additional Information
* Applicants must be based in Perth and eligible to work in Australia.
* A pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening, will be required.
* A current Police Clearance may also be requested
* Subcontractors are also welcome to register their interest for ongoing and adhoc contracting work.
