Job Summary
This is a multidisciplinary role open to Registered Psychiatric Nurses, Social Workers, Psychologists or Occupational Therapists. The successful candidate will have at least 2 years' experience in clinical mental health, health care or community services and identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander.
Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will apply their discipline-specific mental health experience in the delivery of evidence-based treatment and interventions. They will provide culturally informed and supportive mental health care to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander consumers, working with a team of enthusiastic multidisciplinary professionals to deliver high-quality assertive outreach and care coordination of services to adults experiencing mental health and AOD issues as well as homelessness.
Requirements
To be eligible for this role, you must have the following qualifications and skills:
* Formal qualifications in Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Psychology or Registered Psychiatric Nursing.
* At least 2 years' experience in clinical mental health, health care or community services.
* Knowledge of effective evidence-based interventions appropriate to low prevalence disorders such as schizophrenia, bipolar affective disorder, personality disorder, relapse prevention and substance abuse.
* Demonstrate experience in the provision of specialist services in public mental health settings with a strong focus on local communities and inter-agency specific knowledge.
