About the office/school
The Innovation & Design Office is responsible for the transformation of learning and teaching at the University through learning innovations, with an emphasis on expert pedagogy, instructional design, quality and digital technologies to enhance the student learning journey and meet the University's Objects and strategic direction as a Catholic university.
About the role
The position contributes to implementing and sustaining high-quality online, blended/hybrid and face-to-face practice across the University and participates in a team approach to meet the University's Objects and strategic direction as a Catholic university. This position is open to current enrolled student students who have completed at least one semester or more of study at The University of Notre Dame Australia. Students must have full Australian work rights. We encourage all current eligible students to apply.
Key Responsibilities
Create eye-catching graphics and simple videos to make learning more engaging.
Support the look and feel of online content across the university's LMS.
Collaborate with staff from different teams on real learning design projects.
Contribute ideas in meetings and stay updated on new learning tools.
Grow your skills through hands-on experience and training opportunities.
Assist with other tasks as needed by your mentor or team.
Represent the university professionally by following policies and showing initiative.
Qualifications, skills & experience
Essential
1. Completed at least 1 semester or more of study at The University of Notre Dame Australia, with at least 1 semester of study remaining.
2. Ability to work approximately 5 -10 hours per week.
3. Proficient in Microsoft Office, with basic skills in graphic design or video editing (Canva/Adobe Creative Cloud).
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate, seek guidance, and contribute to team efforts.
5. Basic knowledge of digital tools and a strong interest in exploring modern technologies for teaching and learning.
* Basic knowledge of digital design principles and curiosity about current learning technologies.
* Strong time management skills with the ability to plan and track projects to meet deadlines, and a willingness to learn project management tools.
* Ability to work independently or as part of a team, support others, and learn from more experienced colleagues.
* Capable of assessing tasks, prioritising, and receiving feedback to address challenges.
* Willingness to adapt to new tools, workflows, and projects as needed.
Desirable
* Participated in or helped coordinate a work-related project — such as organising a small even or improving a process.
* Has supported tasks that required organising information and identifying trends.
