The Role
We are seeking expressions of interest from experienced Maintenance Coordinators based in Karratha. This role involves coordinating maintenance and service activities across mine sites and port loading facilities, with an average of three days per week on-site and two days in our Karratha office. The position includes coordinating maintenance scopes, customer interactions, quoting, planning, and overseeing job execution.
Key Responsibilities
Technical & Field Work
* Oversee and support preventative maintenance inspections (PMIs), servicing, fault-finding, upgrades and repairs of hydraulic and mechanical systems in the resources industry.
* Conduct diagnostics and analysis of hydraulic equipment, recommending repairs, maintenance including hoses, instrumentation and tubing. (Note: Technical support is available from our experienced team.)
* Hands-on field support required from time to time.
Planning & Coordination
* Conduct site surveys to ensure technical accuracy of maintenance scopes and proposals.
* Estimate the required manpower, equipment and material to successfully execute the service onsite.
* Prepare quotations and job scopes based on planned maintenance schedules.
* Organise resources, materials, tools, and documentation for planned works.
* Maintain and update job management software to track work progress.
* Communicate with supervisors and technicians to ensure smooth job execution.
* Attend client meetings onsite to discuss planned works and any unplanned outages.
* Provide technical guidance to apprentices, technicians, and office staff.
* Ensure a high level of safety, quality, and compliance in all work activities.
Customer Relations & Business Development
* Act as the primary customer contact for maintenance scopes and job execution.
* Build and develop client relationships to secure future work opportunities.
* Respond to customer enquiries promptly and professionally.
Qualifications & Experience
* Trade qualification required (mechanical).
* Prior experience in hydraulics and/or maintenance coordination is highly regarded.
* Experience in Hydraulic Hose manufacture, fittings & Installation.
* Excellent organisational and communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple work scopes.
* Previous experience in a similar role preferred.
