Casual Community Support Workers | NDIS | Kempsey & Port Macquarie
St Agnes' Catholic Parish is a dynamic not-for-profit organisation located in idyllic Port Macquarie providing education, early childhood services, aged care and community services to the community. The Parish is currently on an exciting journey of change and growth as we seek to develop innovative approaches to serving the needs of the people within our community and exceeding their service expectations.
St Agnes' is a registered NDIS service provider whose goal is to promote an inclusive and supportive community, promoting choice and providing a high quality, accessible service to empower individuals, couples and families to reach their full potential.
We have a day centre program in Kempsey from Monday - Friday, which supports NDIS participates in the community, with social and recreational activities, developing skills and achieving goals through a mixture of one on one or group activities.
We have 24/7 supported accommodation in Kempsey & Port Macquarie where we assist adults with intellectual and physical disabilities that have medium to high support needs with the essential activities of daily living including but not limited to; personal care, domestic assistance, community access, access to specialist services, behaviour support and medication management.
ABOUT THE ROLE
St Agnes' are seeking experienced Support Workers to join our casual pool with the flexibility to be able to work a range of shifts.
As a community support worker, you will be supporting NDIS clients within the Port Macquarie & Kempsey areas.
With no two days ever the same, you will support with facilitating a range of activities which could include, dancing, drama, cooking, karaoke, drumming, fishing, walking, swimming etc.

WHO YOU ARE
* Certificate III in Individual Support or Disability Or willingness to obtain
* Commitment to work in harmony with Catholic Values and Principles
* An energetic, positive attitude with a genuine interest in and compassion for people
* Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work as part of a team
* Ability to observe accurately and follow directions precisely
* Competent computer and keyboard skills
* Flexibility to be able to work a range of shifts during the week and weekends
* NDIS Worker Check or the ability to obtain
* Current Working with Children Check
* NSW Driving License or equivalent and own vehicle with comprehensive car insurance.
