**Overview of position**:
Coordinator, Special Projects, Igniting Change is responsible for project leadership, management and smooth delivery of all special and discrete projects outside of business-as-usual activity.
**Role and responsibilities**:
As Coordinator, Special Projects for Igniting Change you will:
- Plan, project manage and coordinate all elements of new projects - including stakeholder liaison, logistics and budget management - at the direction of the Igniting Change Director and in close consultation with Igniting Change's Communications and Public Relations External Advisor and other members of the team.
- Develop detailed project plans, reflecting conversations with internal and external stakeholders and building on what's come before and relationships that already exist.
- Ensure projects are kept in line with original purpose and goals by referring to original briefs and designing/coordinating detailed project plans.
- Develop effective working relationships with partners and collaborators including individuals and organisations across the public, private and not-for-profit sector.
- Manage follow up, including seeking and providing feedback from and to supporters.
- Lead the Igniting Change team in relation to planning, logistics and implementation of projects.
- Undertake proactive research on issues or matters related to projects, seeking advice where needed from the Igniting Change Director.
- Prepare briefing papers to guide expectations and deliverables of primary and secondary hosts and partners.
- Be the primary Igniting Change contact relationship manager for partners and event hosts etc.
- Be responsible for all budget development and management, ensuring project costs meet designated budget and financial targets.
- Provide advice - strategic and practical - to strengthen Igniting Change systems and processes to help the organisation realise its vision.
- Provide, advise and contribute content for social media that are 'on topic' for Igniting Change and relevant to our mission and our stakeholders.
- Support the Director to meet other challenges and deliver other special projects as needed and as they emerge, including backup as required on the Igniting Change program of _Meet the People, Feel the Issues _visits.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills - foreign languages a plus

- Able to use all office programs and project management software.
**Essential experience**:
- More than 5 years work experience in the social impact sector
- Relevant University degree
- Experience working with all sectors, including government, business, universities and civil society organisations and Executive and Non-Executive leaders in these organisations
- Experience working internationally
- Experience working on the frontline at the 'coalface' of social issues
- Experience travelling to and working with African organisations (due to nature of upcoming special projects).
Pay: $100,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
