Overview
Location: Fremantle and Rottnest Island (commuting), Western Australia
Manage the Regulatory Compliance and Approval functions for the agency. The position manages a multi-disciplinary team that provides expertise, advice and support to the Rottnest Island Authority's business operations and functions, including utilities and facilities management, contracts and planning, events and tourism initiatives. The position leads the development and implementation of waste, sustainability and compliance strategy and measures. Represents the RIA at a high level and maintains and develops relationships with key stakeholders, government and non-government agencies and organisations and ensures high level audit and compliance requirements are met across the RIA. This position also oversees the agency\'s geographical information system service and associated business systems. The successful applicant will be required to possess or obtain a current and satisfactory National Police Check prior to commencement.
Responsibilities

* Lead the development and implementation of waste, sustainability and compliance strategy and measures.
* Represent RIA at a high level and develop relationships with key stakeholders, government and non-government agencies and organisations; ensure high level audit and compliance requirements are met across RIA.
* Oversee the agency\'s geographical information system service and associated business systems.
* Promote equity, diversity and work health and safety principles in the workplace.
* Operate in alignment with the Leadership Expectations and demonstrate Personal Leadership to drive positive change.

Selection Criteria
* Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, with proven community liaison, stakeholder management, negotiation and conflict resolution skills, strong customer focus and the ability to liaise with public and private sector groups at a senior level.
* Demonstrated knowledge and experience in managing regulatory approvals and compliance and audit management issues within a complex and diverse setting.
* Substantial demonstrated team management and human resources management skills.
