The Clarence Health Service includes Grafton Base Hospital, a level 3/4 facility serving over 13,000 inpatients annually. It collaborates closely with Maclean District Hospital and other hospitals in Northern NSW and Southern Queensland. Role Responsibilities:

The primary purpose of the Trainee in General Practice is to provide safe, high-quality care, assess, and manage patients in the Emergency Department and inpatient wards under supervision. The trainee should be aware of their limitations and work collaboratively.

Decisions and supervision will be appropriate to the trainee's skills and experience, with increasing independence over time, always under the guidance of an Attending Medical Officer. All patient care is overseen by specialists, and communication with them is essential.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Relevant qualifications and experience as per role requirements
- Ability to work independently in a complex clinical environment
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and adapt in a demanding setting
- Commitment to quality improvement and patient safety
- Willingness to participate in ongoing training and development
