PROJECT MANAGER - CIVIL
Sydney Civil Pty Ltd is a leading civil construction company, highly experienced in local and state government projects with a reputation for providing a professional, integrated service to its clients.
We are looking for Project Managers who will look after civil construction projects and has good understanding of drainage, roadway construction/resurfacing, footway renewal, paving, pavements, kerb, gutter, traffic signals, street lighting, electrical and landscaping in local government projects such as streetscapes, cycleways, and intersection upgrades.
Location:Turrella, NSW
Role: Full-time
The responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:
* Manage major projects throughout the City of Sydney Council local government area.
* Coordinate and liaise with on-site employees and stakeholders for various projects.
* Assess construction materials and costs by analysing and interpreting drawings and specifications.
* Determine project costs by calculating labour, material, and related costs and studying engineering designs and drawings
* Monitor and optimize safety procedures and ensure regulatory compliance in construction projects by monitoring project progress and inspecting construction site
* Ensure that works are delivered to Council specifications
* Plan and schedule daily activities through paperless software system
* Coordinate with council representatives to meet client's needs and approvals
* Plan construction methods and procedures and optimize designs where possible
* Coordinate the supply of labour and materials
* Review design issues and provide solutions accordingly
* Responsible for quality control documentation
Role requirements:
* Must have a relevant academic qualification – Bachelor in Civil Engineering or higher
* Experience – at least 5 years of proven work experience in Civil Engineering
* Computer literate (Excel, Word, Program etc.)
* Ability to develop & maintain systems and procedures to each project
* Ability to meet strict deadline
* Good understanding of WH&S
* Driver's License
* Thorough knowledge of AutoCAD
* Strong problem- solving ability
* Attention to detail and conceptual skills
* Positive, friendly, and enthusiastic attitude
Australian citizens/Permanent Residents will be preferred.
