 
        
        Chef de Partie – The Penny Black, Brunswick 3056 
The Penny Black is a Brunswick institution, serving up great food, drinks, and entertainment in a welcoming and lively pub environment. We are on the lookout for an experienced Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team and support our Head Chef in delivering quality food to our guests. 
Responsibilities 
Liaise with the Head Chef to plan and prioritise daily service. 
Ensure established standard operating procedures are followed. 
Maintain a professional and healthy working environment. 
Bring creativity and input into menu development. 
Consistently deliver food with robust attention to detail and quality. 
Stay calm and effective during busy services. 
Maintain impeccable organisation, hygiene, and presentation. 
Ensure all food is stored and prepared safely, in line with food safety standards. 
Work diligently to achieve budgetary targets and assist in maintaining COGS. 
Uphold the highest standards of kitchen hygiene, OHS, and food safety procedures. 
Skills & Experience 
Previous experience as a Chef de Partie. 
Minimum 6-12 months of Chef de Partie experience is required. 
Flexibility to work Wednesday–Sunday. 
Strong work ethic and ability to manage multiple kitchen sections. 
Experience with stock ordering and maintaining COGS. 
Food Safety Certificate and solid knowledge of OHS. 
Must have current Australian work authorisation at time of application.
