Stellar Recruitment is seeking an experienced ITS Line Mechanic to join a well‐established team delivering street lighting, traffic signal and electronic signage maintenance across Dunedin.
This is a stable, long‐term opportunity offering guaranteed hours and consistent project work.
About the role
You'll be involved in the installation, maintenance and repair of street lighting and associated ITS electrical assets. Working as part of a field‐based team, you'll deliver high‐quality workmanship while meeting safety, quality and programme requirements. This role may include night works, shift work and on‐call as required.
Key responsibilities
* Install, maintain and repair street lighting and ITS assets
* Fault finding and electrical maintenance works
* Work safely in live traffic and electrical environments
* Complete job documentation and timesheets accurately
* Maintain high safety, environmental and quality standards
* Work collaboratively with supervisors and project teams
Skills & experience
* Electrical trade qualification
* Current electrical registration and practising licence
* Full driver's licence
* Experience in streetlighting, ITS or civil electrical works preferred
* EWP and height safety experience advantageous
* Physically fit and safety focused
