What's the role?
An exciting opportunity has become available in our Consumer division for a Pricing Manager. In this role, you will be an integral part of a highly motivated team that supports the delivery of pricing initiatives across News Corp Australia, spanning Consumer, B2B and Tech Platform Partnerships.
Responsibilities
* Drive commercial growth and consumer value by defining and optimising pricing strategies for both existing products and new propositions.
* Lead the development of B2B commercial rate cards and tech platform pricing to ensure sustainable revenue through direct and partner channels.
* Utilise customer research, competitive intelligence, and data analytics to provide actionable pricing recommendations and business‐case inputs.
* Model price elasticity for cover prices and subscriptions to optimise price points and evaluate the effectiveness of tactical promotional initiatives.
* Proactively manage and optimise all live price books, ensuring quality control, compliance with governance, and mitigation of pricing exceptions.
* Collaborate with acquisition teams to test pricing hypotheses and align specific price points to audience segments through a rigorous testing framework.
Who are you?
* Highly analytical with an understanding of statistical modelling, forecasting and pricing best practice; strong commercial acumen and ability to understand complex business drivers and structures; experience working with large complex datasets.
* The ability to identify, evaluate and develop customer value management strategies and promotional tactics that optimise customer and business outcomes for subscriptions and circulation.
* Strong customer and commercial leadership, presentation skills and stakeholder management to optimise consumer value for the business.
* Experience in B2B or platform/partnership pricing and commercial rate cards is highly regarded.
* Project management skills to support business‐case development and stakeholder engagement through to senior‐leadership decision support.
* Advanced Excel skills.
