Sunshine Coast Orthopaedic Group (SCOG) is inviting an experienced Sports Physician to join our world‑class musculoskeletal and orthopaedic team at Maroochy Private Hospital—a purpose‑built orthopaedic facility at the heart of Australia's fastest‑growing health region.
SCOG is a nationally recognised orthopaedic group comprising fellowship‑trained Orthopaedic Surgeons, Sports and Exercise specialists, Nurse Practitioners, and an integrated Allied Health network. Our model is built on evidence‑based practice, collaborative care pathways, and seamless patient experiences from initial consult to rehabilitation.
This position offers a rare opportunity to work closely alongside a high‑performing surgical and peri‑operative team across the full spectrum of musculoskeletal care.
You will manage acute and chronic MSK presentations, return‑to‑sport pathways, and overuse injuries, supported by streamlined surgical triage pathways, direct access to orthopaedic subspecialists, imaging, allied health, prehab/rehab programs, digital patient engagement systems, short‑stay arthroplasty and rapid‑recovery protocols.
Opportunities include involvement in our Acute Injury + Fracture Clinic, research and innovation programs, and surgical assisting (aligned to scope, experience, and interest).

Key Responsibilities
* Diagnose and manage sports and musculoskeletal conditions
* Provide non‑operative care plans, rehabilitation guidance, and return‑to‑activity programs
* Collaborate with Orthopaedic Surgeons, NPs, Physios, and nurses to optimise outcomes
* Maintain clear clinical documentation and communication
* Deliver patient‑centred care aligned to best practice standards
About You
* Fellowship with ACSEP (or equivalent)
* Current AHPRA registration
* Strong clinical reasoning and interpersonal skills
* Commitment to multidisciplinary collaboration and evidence‑based practice
