Registered Nurse – Workforce Medicals & Assessments

The Opportunity
We are seeking a Registered Nurse with a passion for occupational health to join the team. In this role, you will conduct workforce medicals and assessments, ensuring employees are fit for work and compliant with relevant industry health standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct comprehensive pre-employment/health assessments including functional capacity assessments, drug & alcohol testing, and health surveillance checks, these may be conducted at office or client sites.
2. Perform audiometry, spirometry, and ECGs as part of workplace medicals.
3. Maintain accurate health records and work as part of a team to finalize compliant assessments.
4. Work in partnership with stakeholders including Doctors and other specialized health professionals to deliver a streamlined health assessment service to candidates.
5. Provide a client-centric approach to health assessments and support WHA in ongoing review and development of best practices.
6. Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety regulations.

* Training paid for: HLTPAT005 - Drug and Alcohol Testing, Rail Authorised Health Professional, Thoracic Society of Australia/New Zealand Accredited Spirometry Training, Bespoke Training and Upskilling including Musculoskeletal, Audiometric Testing, Vision Testing and more, provided by WHA Trainers.
About You:
* Registered Nurse (RN) with current AHPRA registration.
* Experience in occupational health, workplace assessments, or a clinical background in a similar setting (desirable but not essential as training available).
* Strong attention to detail and ability to work autonomously and as part of a larger team.
* Excellent administration and case management skills with attention to detail for reporting.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
