About this opportunity
Our Talkabout Champion is a passionate person that enjoys connecting with the community to discover insightful and relevant stories about what is happening within the community eg local events, cultural history and good news stories.
Our Talkabout Champion will contribute to the writing, editing and design of the CSCI Bi-Monthly Talkabout Newsletter.
Responsibilities may include:
* Interviewing Community members
* Writing and editing news articles.
* Developing Talkabout Newsletter through Canva (creative online software)
* Aligning news articles with CSCI’s vision and strategic plan.
* Printing and bundling newsletters for distribution
What you will bring to the role:
* Willingness to work in cross cultural context
* Understanding of the community and their needs
* Diverse backgrounds and experiences
* Empathy and passion to caring towards the community
* Willingness to work with integrity, respect, confidentiality, and dignity
* Holding a Blue card or willingness to apply
* Hold a current open drivers license
