The Role
This is a highly rewarding and unique opportunity to join the CUC team in shaping the education landscape for students in the Cape York area.
As Centre Manager, you will work with the Board of Directors and be supported by the CUC in implementing the strategic plan to increase access to higher education opportunities in the region. You will be integral to coordinating ongoing operations to support successful outcomes for students. You will also work with the CUC, local Board and staff to foster and maintain relationships with stakeholders, and represent CUC Cape York at community events.
This position calls for
* A self-starting, enthusiastic individual who is passionate about creating opportunities for regional and remote students;
* The ability to engage with local students from diverse backgrounds and pursue key opportunities to support students to identify and achieve their academic goals;
* Knowledge in developing relationships with Indigenous stakeholders from diverse backgrounds to create culturally safe study spaces;
* An experienced collaborator with the ability to build strong relationships within the CUC network, communities in the Cape York Peninsula, and with external stakeholders to promote the CUC's aims;
* Excellent organisational and time management capability, combined with high-level computer skills;
* A dedicated individual with the agility to execute the strategic plan and manage the day-to-day running of the Centre; and
* Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
