About The Role
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Support Worker with experience and training in using aids to assist our clients, and a high level of understanding around manual handling. This role offers daily challenges and the chance to truly impact the lives of people living with disabilities.
As a Support Worker in our Accommodation Services, you will provide essential assistance to our high-needs clients, aiding with personal care and daily tasks. You will support clients who use wheelchairs and have additional medical needs, ensuring they receive the necessary care.
Our team promotes autonomy and supports residents around the clock, fostering independence within a shared living environment. Your role will involve handling complex situations with empathy and composure, making a meaningful impact on others.

SCHAD's Award Level 2 Pay rates from $34.58 – $37.73 (base rate) or $ $47.16 (casual rate)

Duties
Provide personal care and daily living support
Assist with manual handling and use of aids
Support clients with complex needs and medical requirements
Foster independence and inclusion in shared living environments
Build positive relationships with clients and families
Manage challenging situations with empathy and professionalism
Essential
Skills and Experience:
Experience supporting high-needs disability clients
Confidence in manual handling and use of aids
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Flexibility for varied shifts and rostered work
Basic Microsoft Office skills (Word & Outlook)
Current Driver's Licence, Working With Children Check, NSW NDIS Worker Screening Check, and National Police Check
Desirable
Certificate III or IV in Disability Support (or equivalent)
Knowledge of NDIA processes
