Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Criminal Lawyer, based in Hervey Bay, QLD. The Criminal Lawyer will be responsible for representing and advising clients in criminal cases, conducting legal research, preparing legal documents, and representing clients in court. Daily tasks include client consultations, case analysis, negotiation with prosecutors, and developing defense strategies to achieve the best possible outcomes for clients.
Qualifications
* Expertise in Criminal Law and strong litigation skills
* Experience in legal research and case analysis
* Proficiency in preparing legal documents and offering legal advice
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client interactions and courtroom presentations
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
* Good understanding of local legal and court procedures
* Qualified as a solicitor in Australia and current practicing certificate
* Strong negotiation and analytical skills
