**About the Role**
Do you have strong vision to shape development and manage growth in a dynamic municipality? We seek a confident communicator with strong writing skills.
As Principle Urban Designer, you will lead, participate in, and co-ordinate the development of priority projects including foreshore projects, key transport interfaces, neighbourhood precincts and key strategic sites. You will be responsible for providing urban design and strategic advice on development proposals, key sites and policies as required. As a senior team member, you will assist the Head of City Design to promote good design across the organisation.
**Duties**:
- Produce studies and analysis for key projects or development of various scales and uses
- Identify innovative solutions to complex and competing urban issues
- Provide professional and timely advice relating to urban design, architecture, and heritage
- Lead and contribute to strategic, capital and policy projects
**Skills and Experience**
- Extensive relevant experience in urban design or a related field
- Highly developed skills in communicating complex ideas to a range of stakeholders
- Tertiary degree in Architecture, Urban Design or a related profession
