RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial Reporting & Compliance
- Manage timely and accurate delivery of external financial reporting, including interim and full-year financial statements and ASX disclosures
- Draft and review Board and Audit Committee reports
- Develop documentation to support material accounting policy positions
- Oversee financial reporting requirements, ensuring adherence to accounting standards, financial controls and regulatory obligations
Technical Accounting & Advisory
- Provide technical accounting advice across the business, including support for ad hoc projects
- Lead implementation of new accounting standards and disclosure requirements
- Support Sustainability stakeholders with emerging sustainability reporting standards
Audit & Governance
- Manage the external audit process and maintain strong relationships with auditors
- Escalate issues appropriately and ensure risks are addressed promptly
Process Improvement
- Implement new processes and reporting methodologies to drive efficiency and accuracy
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement across all reporting and compliance activities
Leadership & People Development
- Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing external reporting team
- Build strong cross-functional relationships and act as a trusted advisor across the organisation
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- CA qualified
- 8+ years post-qualification experience
- Solid technical accounting expertise, ideally gained within a Big 4 environment
- Deep understanding of ASX reporting requirements
- Experience leading reporting in an ASX listed org preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders
- Experienced team leader
