Job Description
We are seeking a Speech Pathologist to join our team in Queensland. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work with people with disability to develop and implement individualised support plans that enhance their independence and participation in the community.
You will have a strong commitment to person-centred practice and be passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of people with disability.
* Your role will involve working closely with individuals, families and carers to understand their needs and goals, and developing tailored strategies to achieve these.
* You will work collaboratively with other health professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
* You will maintain accurate records of client interactions and progress, and contribute to the development of policies and procedures that promote best practice in speech pathology services.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A Bachelor degree in Speech Pathology or equivalent qualification.
* Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with people from diverse backgrounds and abilities.
* An understanding of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and its application in speech pathology services.
* Experience working with people with disability and their families, preferably in a community-based setting.
