Automotive Parts Interpreter – Pakenham, VIC
We are looking for a talented Parts Interpreter to join our team in Pakenham, VIC. This role involves assisting all Distribution Business customers, technicians, and other parts personnel in securing needed parts and supplies under moderate supervision.

Key Impact Areas
* Act as the first contact for customers, addressing their needs and issues promptly.
* Interpret parts requests and provide the required parts.
* Process and receive orders and quotes in a timely manner.
* Advise on part suitability and walk customers through the best solution for the job.
* Handle customer parts counter duties, including receiving parts calls, greeting, and assisting walk‑in customers, completing and processing paperwork, and handling check and credit card transactions.
* Support day‑to‑day operations including stock management, shipping/receiving, inventory tasks, and other parts‑related duties as required.
Responsibilities
* Manage parts interpretation and parts supply for Distribution Business customers.
* Coordinate with warehouse operations to ensure accurate stock levels and efficient receiving/shipping.
* Maintain accurate records, process paperwork, and handle financial transactions for parts sales.
* Provide excellent customer service and troubleshoot issues.
* Maintain an organized parts counter and assist walk‑in customers.
Qualifications
* Experience as a Parts Interpreter in the automotive or related industry.
* Strong customer service and effective communication skills.
* Ability to build strong customer relationships, solve problems, and collaborate with key stakeholders.
* Engine knowledge is an advantage.
* Ability to learn new software and processes quickly.
* High attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and troubleshoot complex tasks.
* Forklift licence is highly desirable.
* Valid driver's licence required.
* Capability to work effectively in a small 2‑person team with moderate supervision.
