State Transport Operations Manager – NSW
Lead the entire NSW transport network's flow, building powerful and accountable partnerships while mentoring a high‐impact team. This Sydney‐based role involves coordinating operations between Minchinbury and Moorebank.
What You'll Do
* Champion safety and compliance by ensuring all state transport operations meet legislative and company policy requirements.
* Manage operational flow and coordinate with distribution centers and 3PL teams, control site finances, resolve transport claims, and meet customer delivery expectations.
* Develop positive, high‐performance partnerships with third‐party carriers, managing daily coordination, monitoring KPIs, and providing accurate operational forecasts.
* Lead, coach and develop a high‐performing transport team, managing goals, performance reviews and active succession planning.
* Drive key operational improvements to reduce costs, increase network capability and manage transition projects related to network or carrier changes.
What You'll Bring
* Demonstrated success in a multi‐site transport operations manager role with comprehensive transport logistics knowledge.
* Hands‐on team leadership experience, people management and a track record of developing team members for high performance.
* Financial acumen, with a proven record of service delivery, cost management and budget oversight.
* Experience in business transformation and change management, including strategy development and implementation.
* Knowledge of relevant Chain of Responsibility (CoR), Work Health & Safety (OH&S) and Return to Work (RTW) legislation.
