User Interface Designer
Location: Melbourne (opposite the MCG)
Employment Type: Full-time

Salary: $90,000 + superannuation
About the Role
BurnsRED is looking for a UI/UX Designer to help create experiences that thousands of users can love. You will work in a collaborative team across diverse industries and varying formats. We launch digital products and services with the world's largest brands.
Our flavour of UX Design ties in user research, conversations, empathy, and insights to synthesize complex information together into crafted business software that demonstrates the user‑friendliness and aesthetics of best‑in‑class consumer apps.
In this role, you will:
* Shape experiential direction and provide strategic guidance informed by user insights throughout the duration of projects.
* Work with cross‑functional teams to execute against the principles that create great, human‑centred products.
* As a hands‑on designer with a meticulous eye for detail, you will help oversee UI design with creativity and logic, anticipating user interactions, states and accessibility needs.
* Engage with clients and build strong relationships as a go‑to for creativity, problem‑solving and ideation.
* Own projects confidently and become a subject matter expert on behalf of the client during project delivery.
This is a full‑time, ongoing position of at least 38 hours per week.
About you
You will thrive in this role if you have:
* Experience in digital design and advanced understanding of UX/UI principles.
* Flexible and collaborative attitude.
* A strong curiosity and excitement for how AI is influencing and enabling design.
* An eye for detail and a curiosity to make things better.
* Some understanding of HTML5 and CSS.
* Strong exposure to Figma.
* An understanding of and experience in the creation of web application interfaces.
* Experience working as part of a design team.
* Can work to deadline and juggle competing priorities.
* Willingness to take ownership of projects and work autonomously.
* While we work flexibly both in time and location, you will need to be available to work on site in our Melbourne office with the team as your primary work place.
* You can demonstrate your process through wireframes, site maps, customer‑journeys and process flows.
