Position Title: Health Care Worker – Penhall Residential Care Unit

Classification: IN37 – IN39

Salary per hour: $28.84 to $33.27 + superannuation + generous salary packaging options

Employment Type: Ongoing full-time OR Ongoing part-time

Award: Health and Allied Services, Managers and Administrative Workers (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2021-2025

Role description

As a Health Care Worker at Dhelkaya Health you will be required to work as a productive member of a care team to provide person centred care. It is expected the Health Care Worker will work within the limitations of their role and will provide a competent level of personal care, cleaning and food services for residents. The HCW works under the direction and support of the supervising RN at all times.

About you

Essential:

- Certificate III or IV – Ageing Support (CHC43015) including the medication component or willingness to complete or Certificate III – Individual Support (CHC33015)

- Experience or willingness to gain experience in age care
- Knowledge of aged care standards
- Basic assessment and reporting skills
- Understanding of the concept of person-centre care
- Good communication skills
- A preparedness to engage in coach students and new staff
- Commitment to positive working relationships
