Overview
Join our dynamic and justice-minded Legal Team at the Northern Community Legal Centre (NCLC) as a Community Lawyer. In this role, you will provide high-quality legal services, including advice, casework, and court representation to eligible clients across a range of practice areas from our Wallan office. Reporting into the Senior Lawyer, Wallan, you will also have the prospect to design and deliver community legal education programs and contribute to projects that expand access to justice for our priority client groups.
The Community Lawyer will work collaboratively with local community organisations, stakeholders, and client groups to raise awareness of NCLC’s services and ensure our support is targeted and accessible. You’ll also work closely with our Community Development Team, ensuring that legal assistance is delivered holistically alongside social supports for clients.
NCLC has a hybrid working model, with a minimum 2 days in the Wallan office between the hours of 9am – 5pm. Office days will be rostered dependant on operational requirements, including clinics, court, community engagement and staff meetings. There may be occasional travel to Broadmeadows office. This will be advised in advance and travel allowance provided.

REMUNERATION
Lawyer (Level 4/5): $90,742.34 - $108,510.53 per annum (depending on experience), plus employer funded superannuation.
