ABOUT THE ROLE The Senior Payroll Officer working in partnership with the Payroll Officer has the responsibility for the delivery of a timely and accurate payroll process for Shine Bright, ensuring effective payroll management and maintaining payroll records to ensure that they are accurate and up to date. Accurate preparation and distribution of payroll for over 400 staff fortnightly. Understand all applicable awards and industrial agreements and relevant legislation and ensure these are interpreted correctly and applied appropriately Provision of general payroll advise, payroll processing, enterprise agreement interpretation and calculation support. Work collaboratively with the People and Culture team ensuring all new and varied contract request are processed efficiently. Maintenance of accurate records relating to leave and leave entitlements including long service leave, calculating leave payments and pro rata adjustments. Salary continuance insurance claims ? advise Employees of process, explain paperwork and assist with completion/lodgment and reconcile payments from insurer. Create and provide any payroll related communication to staff as required. Identify process inefficiencies and recommend improvement strategies. Support the Chief Finance Officer in the management of other finance functions as required. Other duties as required. Key Selection Criteria 3 years experience in a similar role Experience working with ADP or similar payroll software. High level of communication skills including verbal and written communication. With the ability to form collaborative relationships with colleagues and stakeholders High level organisation skills and the ability to follow through on tasks in a timely manner Excellent attention to detail Pro-active approach to employee payroll enquires.
