About the Role

Reporting to the Market Operations Manager, the Monitoring and Control Specialist is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient monitoring and control of all assets under operations. This includes maintaining compliance with regulations and industry standards.

Main Responsibilities:

* Ensuring the safe operation of Squadron Energy's assets at all times
">
* Monitoring and controlling assets via SCADA systems, reacting to plant alerts and contingency events
">
* Interfacing with Network Service Providers (NSP), Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO) and other entities regarding asset outages and generation constraints
">
* Maintaining a strong understanding of NER/NEM compliance requirements
">
* Contributing to NER/NEM compliance plans for Squadron Energy's assets
">
* Bidding in the NEM according to internal trading strategies
">
* Monitoring market dispatch solutions and activities of Squadron Energy's assets
">
* Maintaining an up-to-date understanding of NEM conditions and developments
">
* Contribution to trading, firming and Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) strategies
">

About You
">
We are looking for individuals with a background in Engineering, Data Science or IT. Experience in renewables or utility industry and working knowledge of SCADA systems and HMI would be advantageous. A tertiary qualification and proficiency in Excel and SQL are essential.
