Overview
Join one of Australia's largest pastoral businesses!
Paraway Pastoral Company is seeking an experienced Assistant Station Manager to join our team at Nullamanna Station, located 21km Northeast of Inverell in Northern NSW. This 2,207 ha property includes 1,000 ha of improved pasture and a 3,500-head EU feedlot, with capacity to background an additional 3,000 head. We pride ourselves on our high standards for compliance, animal welfare and operational integrity, and we are looking for a leader who shares our commitment to excellence and best-practice care.
About the role
This role is central to our success, providing vital support to the Station Manager through day-to-day ownership of backgrounding and maintaining a high-level oversight of feedlot performance. We are looking for a confident decision-maker who can lead a team through daily logistics with sharp attention to detail. Since we are a process-driven business, we value consistency in our operations, from NLIS compliance to the confident use of data hardware.
As a proactive problem-solver with strong time management, you'll help us maintain our high standards of animal welfare. While prior feedlot experience is a plus, we value a strong paddock skillset and an interest in growing your technical knowledge of animal health and nutrition. If you have a mechanical mind for troubleshooting and a passion for upskilling others, this is a great chance to develop your leadership in a progressive business.

* Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
* Hands-on experience in livestock management. (Prior feedlot experience is highly favourable).
* An interest in developing further knowledge in animal health and nutrition, with a willingness to pick up technical feedlot skills over time.
