The City of Greater Bendigo is in the heart of central Victoria on Dja Dja Wurrung and Taungurung Country. Located just 90 minutes' drive from Melbourne, our region offers all the benefits of a large city with a warm and welcoming country feel.

The Role

You will work closely with our community to contribute to the strategic development, implementation and review of community facilities, in line with the City's Community Hub and Precincts Strategy (currently in development), to ensure equitable participation and access for the community.

Key Responsibilities Of The Role Include

Contribute to the development and facilitation of project planning, delivery and evaluation
Provide recommendations about the future need for community infrastructure by collecting and analysing financial and planning data, community consultation and usage
Proactively engage with a range of stakeholders and working collaboratively to achieve organisational and community outcomes
Review, update and develop policies and prepare project proposals, funding submissions, consultancy briefs and partnership and licence agreements.

This is a part‑time position (up to 9 days a fortnight) with flexibility in days and hours worked.

About You

You will be a capable and experienced community development practitioner with a demonstrated commitment to assets (strengths) based community development principles. You will also bring:

Experience using change management principles and project management frameworks to develop, implement, deliver and review projects.
Demonstrated capabilities in collaborating and building strategic partnerships
Research, analysis and benchmarking capabilities, with an ability to apply findings to policy, strategic plan and strategy development
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines

A current Police Check, Working with Children Check (Employee) and driver's licence are required for this position.
