Do you love being a group fitness instructor? Do you want to be more involved in the classes? Looking to progress your career in the leisure industry.
The Role
Oak Park Sports and Aquatic Centre is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Group Fitness Coordinator to work with our great team to head up the group exercise department. This is a part time position starting at 15 hours per week. With many exciting program developments ready to launch be part of the future of Group Fitness at this iconic facility.
Does this sound like you?
* Experienced instructor with group exercise.
* The ability to work independently with flexible hours
* Have an understanding of group fitness programs and the timetable and develop the classes and their instructors.
* Ability to recruit instructors.
* Monitor existing instructors and evaluate the program regularly.
* Help develop instructors by providing training and leadership
* Able to relate well with staff and members.
Skills & Attributes:
* A demonstrated commitment to customer service and well-developed communication skills
* Cert III in Fitness, Fitness Leaders Course, or Group Exercise Instructor (GEI).
* Current fitness registration
* Current Senior First Aid Certificate
* Current CPR Certificate
* Program Certification ( eg - Aqua Aerobics, Deep Water Running, Les Mills and Pilates )
* Working with Vulnerable People
* Agree to undergo police check as part of the employment process
* Driven to success with friendly can-do attitude
* Availability to work evenings and weekends is essential
Previous industry experience is highly regarded!
