About the Role
The Organisation Development (OD) Manager influences and builds leadership, organisational capacity, and capability across MNCLHD to foster a positive, high performing culture that enables the organisation to effectively meet the needs of patients, carers, and the community.
The role provides operational, day to day oversight of OD district projects, programs, and initiatives aligned with the NSW Health Future Health Strategy, Workforce Plan, and MNCLHD's strategic priorities and people strategy. The OD Manager leads, coaches, and mentors OD team members, while partnering closely with HR Business Partners and Line Managers to strengthen leadership capability, enhance workforce effectiveness, and drive sustainable cultural improvement across the district.
This is a Full Time Permanent position with the location negotiable within the Mid North Coast Local Health District (MNCLHD), with established offices based in Coffs Harbour and Port Macquarie.
About You
You bring relevant tertiary qualifications in a related discipline or extensive experience within a large, diverse service industry organisation, complemented by a strong combination of study and practical experience. You are a highly capable and credible leader with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a demonstrated ability to consult, negotiate, and delegate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including Senior Executives and Senior Leaders.
You possess well-developed organisational, analytical, and complex problem-solving skills, enabling you to manage competing priorities while ensuring high quality outcomes and the timely delivery of services. Your leadership approach is underpinned by strong people management and conflict resolution capabilities, and you are confident navigating challenging and sensitive situations.
You have demonstrated experience in the design, development, delivery, and evaluation of leadership, management, and culture change programs and initiatives, supported by advanced facilitation, presentation, debriefing, and coaching skills. You are comfortable working in complex environments and have a proven track record of building strong relationships, trust, and credibility with senior executives, clinicians, and managers.
You also bring advanced computer skills across a range of software applications, including word processing, data management systems, and spreadsheets, and hold a current driver's licence with the ability to travel as required.
