The Staff Specialist will provide medical assessment and participate in the management of patients within the Chest Clinic (Tuberculosis Services) at St George Hospital.

SESLHD manages eight public hospitals and one public nursing home:

* Royal Hospital for Women
* St George Hospital
* Sutherland Hospital
* Sydney/Sydney Eye Hospital
* War Memorial Hospital (third schedule with Uniting Care)
* Gower Wilson Memorial
* Garrawarra Centre
SESLHD also operates 28 Child and Family Health Centres, 12 Community Health Centres, and nine Oral Health Clinics, providing prevention, early intervention, community-based treatment, palliative care, and rehabilitation services.
Services such as Drug and Alcohol, Mental Health, Breast screening, HIV/AIDS, Public Health, Women's Health, Youth Health, Sexual Health, Imaging, and Pathology are provided across SESLHD facilities.
The primary location of this position may vary as agreed with the Director of Clinical Services and as approved by MDAAC to other facilities within SESLHD.

All applications must demonstrate your ability to meet each of the selection criteria to progress through the recruitment process.
* Registration or eligibility for registration with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA). Provide your AHPRA Registration Number in your application.
* Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of Physicians and/or equivalent specialist recognition as per the Health Insurance Act 1973 and relevant Award/Determination, with subspecialty training in Respiratory Medicine.
* Evidence of ongoing medical education and self-monitoring/audit practices aligned with the position's scope of practice.
* Proven ability and/or experience in delivering high-quality clinical services in the specialty, including participation in quality improvement activities.
* Commitment to teaching, with experience in educating undergraduate and postgraduate students and hospital staff.
* Skills and attitudes appropriate for a senior Medical Practitioner, including high professional standards and role modelling for junior staff.
* Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team, communicate effectively with patients and colleagues, and provide high-standard clinical care in a public sector setting.
* Experience and commitment to research relevant to the department's needs.
