About the role
Holcim is currently looking for a Production officer for their plant located at Ventor with requirements to provide additional operational support to other plants in the region. This role involves a mix of manual handling, logistics coordination and administration.

Roles in Concrete Plants are quick paced and will require you to be a strong problem solver, process driven with a high level of attention to detail.
This role offers the opportunity to gain valuable experience in a busy operational environment. You would normally start work around 05:30am and there would be a requirement to work some Saturdays (as needed).
Duties and responsibilities:
- Promoting and enforcing safety and environmental processes and protocols to meet performance outcomes
- Production of concrete using multiple systems and processes
- Allocating and assigning loads to drivers as well as coordination of Trucks arriving & departing site
- Stock management and coordination of deliveries
- Assisting contractors carrying out site maintenance
- Yard maintenance, Front-end loader operation, shovelling and manual handling of bagged products
- Administration on a variety of computer software applications (training is provided on these)
Ideally, it would be great if you hold a current forklift ticket and have experience operating a front-end loader. However, we are more than happy to train & facilitate you obtaining these qualifications.
Additionally, as the role will be supporting other plants within the Sydney regions, it is essential that you have your own reliable vehicle. You will be paid an allowance per KM when you are required to travel outside your base plant location.
