About the role
Tieri Country Club is seeking an experienced and passionate Greenkeeper to join our local community. You will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and improvement of our stunning 9 hole golf course, ensuring it is always kept in pristine condition for our members and guests. This is a full time position based in Tieri, Queensland.
What you'll be doing
* Mowing, and maintaining the fairways, greens, tees and rough to the highest standard;
* Undertaking irrigation system maintenance and monitoring;
* Performing fertilising, seeding, aerating and top dressing tasks to enhance turf health and appearance;
* Identifying and treating weeds, pests and diseases to preserve the course's visual appeal and playing conditions;
* Adhering to all relevant health, safety and environmental policies and procedures.
What we're looking for
* Minimum 2 years' experience as a Greenskeeper with a Certificate III in Sports Turf Management or a Certificate III in Horticulture (desirable, but not essential);
* Strong knowledge of turf management and landscaping principles, as well as an understanding of water management and irrigation systems;
* Proficient in the operation and maintenance of various golf course equipment and machinery;
* Ability to work autonomously or within an team environment;
* Effective leadership and communication abilities to motivate and coordinate a team;
* Demonstrated commitment to safety, environmental sustainability and continuous improvement.
