Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Practitioner to join our team in the Department of Neurosurgery at Royal Hobart Hospital. Key Responsibilities
* Admit patients to the wards and provide care, including conducting daily ward rounds.
* Attend specialist and registrar ward rounds and record all decisions made in patient medical histories.
* Respond promptly to calls from members of the patient's care team.
* Ensure timely consultations occur as requested.
* Interact effectively with families or carers of hospital patients.
* Accurately record drugs and treatment administered.
* Verify and sign result sheets for investigations.
* Perform procedures as required.
* Maintain accurate, comprehensive and contemporaneous records in the medical history, including progress notes each day.
Essential Requirements
* Hold General or Limited Registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
* Hold current Tasmanian Working with Children Registration (where applicable and as determined by individual position requirements).
