This is a key position within a collegiate team, working on novel and complex matters in the public sector.
About The Job
You will join a large, well-resourced Commercial Dispute Resolution team, working closely with experienced lawyers to provide advice and representation to government departments and agencies.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include running a consistent file load of litigated matters, drafting pleadings, affidavits and other court documents, and advising on liability, evidence, quantum, settlement, costs and strategic direction.
The role involves working across a mix of government litigation that includes commercial disputes, real property disputes, insolvency, property damage claims, negligence claims, injunctive relief, class actions, defamation, malicious prosecution and misfeasance in public office claims.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you will have 10+ years' PAE litigation experience, a good working knowledge of the UCPR, and experience in handling Supreme and District Court level matters.
